Pre-Diet & Medications
PRE-DIETA
Before you come to the center, we recommend that you start a gradual cleansing process. This will help support your healing process, but if you are not able to do it, please do not worry.
We recommend that you abstain from pork, alcohol, chili and hot spices, sex, drugs, icy food/drinks for at least 3 days before your arrival. Gradually decrease the consumption of salt, sugar, and caffeine. The pre-dieta is not mandatory, but the longer you respect it, the more it will support your healing process.
MEDICATIONS AND HEALTH
Do not forget to bring with you all of the medications that you need, and do not stop taking them when you come to the center.
Malaria is mostly eradicated from the city of Iquitos. No one has ever contracted malaria while staying in the center, the same goes for dengue. Taking anti-malarial pills is a personal decision and responsibility. We advise you to search for more information if you plan to visit other parts of the jungle. If you plan to take antibiotics or anti-malarial pills, please discontinue at least 3 days between the last take and the first ceremony.
The combination of most street drugs and Ayahuasca is very dangerous and potentially life-threatening. No street drugs or alcohol are allowed in the center. If we suspect such drugs or alcohol are being consumed during your stay, we will ask you to leave the center. If we suspect that such drugs or alcohol have been taken immediately prior to arrival, we reserve the right to refuse admission to the center.
